I've put up a page for benchmarking Sony Vegas 7 video editing software.
This application makes good use of of up 4 cores!

Additional Instructions
To enable Quad core rendering:
To enable Vegas to use all 4 cores go to "Options>Preferences" and then to the "Video" tab and set the maximum number of rendering threads to 4 since you have a Quad. Your score is right on for two cores being used!
To check the preview fps:
Grab (left-click hold) the five little dots located at the upper left of the preview window to undock it and drag it onto the work space. Then set the preview quality to "Best>Auto." Finally grab a corner and open the preview window so it's showing 720x480 pixels.
You can watch the fps counter at the bottom right of the preview window to the right of "Display." It will only show the fps when the video is actually playing.
