Yeah... I was waiting for weeks for my Verizon DSL order, only to have it cancelled with a very generic and uninformative email. I spent an hour on the phone and talked with people in four different departments (because, although each one had to spend several minutes "pulling up my information", none of them actually had access to any information, and promptly transferred me to another department with the same results). Finally got someone in "sales" who claimed that DSL was available to my area and it was a "capacity" issue that caused the cancellation, and thought it would be solved in two to four weeks. So, I reinstated the order under the hopes that eventually I may once again connect to the world.
Still though, as poor as the customer service is, it beats Charter's.
I'll be opting for the $29.99/mo. for six months, and then moving to the one-year $39.99/mo contract. Which, in my area, is a hot deal (Charter is up to $63/mo for the same up/down speed cable modem service).
