My rig atm:
2.4C
9600 Pro
1.5GB RAM
In World of Warcraft, I get about 8-10fps when standing in the middle of a town with the following settings:
1600x1200
maxed textures, viewable distance, AF, and everything else in-game (distance polygon reducing also disabled)
VSync with triple buffering (to my knowledge, this means better visual quality)
maxed out AA in Catalyst CC
...basically, everything maxed out at a 1600x1200 res without any full-screen glow effect
Now my question is, if I changed my rig to the following...
3.2C
6800GT
1.5GB RAM (or even 1GB) << this shouldn't really matter
...could I run the maxed-out settings described above at 50fps+ through the game, including battles? I think 50fps (and 60fps in some areas) is realistic, as WoW isn't exactly a demanding game by today's standards (it's no Far Cry).
It's a very specific question, but I thought someone might know...
