VGA to CRT TV

I need to get video signal from laptop (only VGA) to an old CRT TV (scart (RGB), composite). Would this cable work: LINK. Or must I create a custom cable: LINK

You'll either need to make that custom cable or purchase a VGA to composite converter. The cable you linked is VGA to component which is a different signal than composite. If you have the time and know how I'd probably make the custom cable as I'd imagine that you'd get better image quality off SCART than composite not sure by how much since you're working with a non HDTV.

I think either way you are not going to be very happy with the TV resolution unless you are watching movies.

even then its not good, i remember having to alter overscan and the rest to make the image fit, and it was still ugly.
