But Vick has repeatedly lied to Goodell about this...he sat in Goodell's office when this all started breaking and assurned him he knew nothing about a dog fighting operation.

Goodell to me does not seem like they type that would take being lied to very well.

Plus....I wouldn't exactly go by what ESPN is saying...just last week they were saying that he was free and clear of facing any criminal charges.

If you want better information read here

I whonder if the NFL has already added Ookie as a blocked name you can get on a jersey like Mexico.

They hadn't as of last night.

Not a repeat offender? So flipping off fans and the "mysterious disappearing water bottle with the curious substance in the hidden compartment" at the airport don't count for anything?

another NFL player that needs to go

QFMFT. And he should do jail time for this. Yet another reason I don't give pro sports any of my money.

COLTS SUPER BOWL CHAMPS 2007!!! WOO WOO

WTF are you talking about? I can't think of another black QB who has ever been in trouble like this...

Cordell Stewart... good guy
Warren Moon (as you noted)... Good guy
Vince Young... Good guy
Donovan McNabb... Good guy
Steve McNair (minor things)... Good guys
Cleo Lemon... a nobody, but never in trouble
Seneca Wallace... Good guy
Tavarus Jackcon... Good guy
Byron Leftwich... Good guy
David Gerrard... Good guy
Doug Williams... Good guy
Randall Cunningham... Good guy
Andre Ware... Bust... But Good guy
Rodney Peete... Good guy
Jamarcus Russell... Rookie... but noting to indicate he's anything but a good guy
Troy Smith... Chris Leak... Same thing...

Your list failed to include a huge-star-to-be (crossing my fingers) black QB, Jason Campbell. He's already won a national championship in college, and has shown tons of quiet class here in the DC area. He's the anti-Vick.

Auburn hasn't won a national championship since 1958. The "People's Championship" doesn't count.

Agree with the rest about Jason Campbell though.

Whoops - my bad! I don't follow the college game much at all, and it's showing.

Though acquitted, Moon most likely did beat his wife, and was arrested for drunk driving not too long ago. Rest of the list looked good though.

Vick deserves to rot for this one. I will be rooting against him for the rest of his career, no matter which team he plays with or against.

If you had ever been there you would know why the call it BadNewz.

Turn on the local news at night and you can get all the badnewz you want out of Newport News.

it's too long, but I did just run ConVICKt through, and the website at least had no issue with it.

Yeah Daunte and even Aaron Brooks are good citizens too. ballmode is an idiot.

To play Devil's Advocate here though, at least Vick is controlling the pitbull population, those things are worthless to society. Better they bite at each other than humans I say.

Heard today that the feds have something like a 95% conviction rate. My money is on plea bargain....which would still lead to a major suspension or expulsion from the NFL.

controlling the population by breeding and then killing them? It's not like he was picking them up at the local animal shelter.

Remember this : A conviction in a federal court on federal charges means ZERO parole. Convicted for 5 years, serve five years. Conspiracy is a pretty tough rap to beat. This will not end well for him I imagine.

Peace
