Video card/ Game Issue

Cataylist driver ver 3.10
DirectX 9.0b
When playing Half-life/CS with my new video card it seems that there is a line that movies vertically from top to bottom(on the textures on the walls) when i run in the game....when im not moving you don't notice anything....

one of my friends had a similar problem a year or two ago with a geforce 3 ti 200 i think it was.....i think he fixed it by updating his drivers

i have the most current ver of drivers (to my knowledge) and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to fix this...

or what are the optimum settings for my card?

hrm watching a movie it seems to almost do the same thing.......during high movement......

If you are overclocking, does it go away if you don't overclock?

Make sure Vsync is on and try overriding the refresh rate

that is your moniter refreshing, try your moniter at a higher freq. and it should go away. The human eye can just barely see 60htz so you should set it to 65 or 75 if possible.

was set at 85 hz when it was doing this
i tried going down to 75 and it didn't fix it

hopefully it was just the crappy crappy monitor i was using over xmas break.....and my real monitor up at college will work fine *crosses fingers*
