Very good to know. Thanks for the informative post.

Damn... I just ordered a ATI Radeon 5770 Juniper XP (1 GB) from New Egg $160. Are you seriously telling me I could have gotten better 'bang for my buck' with a 4870??

better bang probably (assuming you bought the 4870 for like 130), but it's not necessarily faster. It trades blows with a stock 5770, but in most cases the 5770 is faster once both are OCed. 5770 looks like it's usually faster stock as well in the newer reviews.

Plain engrish please. What is this 10s ...25s... Raid & Heroics?

Doubt this guy has the money for a 250/260 card... but will suggest it anyways.

What the arrogant little e-peenhead was trying to get across is the point that the number of players on-screen (at the same time) affects the FPS. (10 players / 25 players / whatever) are all making pretty little magic lights which are just pixels and polygons that the computer has to render. All the little hobbits or whatever they're called pewwwwing spells takes more power to run smoothly.

If you can't play nicely with others, you can go somewhere else.

So you play a game that came out 5 years ago and has been consistently and majorly overhauled and you're surprised the graphic requirements are higher than they were at release?

And you live your weak, little, insipid life for how many years and you still don't know how to treat your fellow brotherhood of nerds?

i love these threads, so many people that have no idea what they are talking about.

WoW relies much more on the CPU then the GPU, anything above a 8800GT is fine for wow, but the CPU makes a MASSIVE difference.

running 1650*1080 going from a 8800GT to a GTX 285 was less then a 10 FPS gain
running 1650*1080 w/ an 8800GT and going from a C2D E8400 @ 4 GHz to an I7 920 stock was a 50 FPS gain
