Video card verification....

hey guys, I need some help. I just won a bid on an alleged GeForce GT. When I was scouring the pictures making sure it was a real GT, I noticed something strange. Everything looks like its supossed to, with the exception of two molex conectors. I thought there was only two molexes on the Ultra. So what do you guys think? is this a GT or an Ultra?
the guy selling it sais he got it from a vendor at E3 and he was told it was a GT. He doesnt seem to know much more about it....

The GeForce 6800 Ultra requires 2 4-pin molex connectors that come directly off the power supply whilst the GeForce 6800 GT doesn't require and 4-pin molex connectors as far as I know.:beer:

The 6800GT should have only one power connector.

Maybe early samples might still have 2 on the board, but only need one hooked up?

By the way, I stopped bidding after it hit 420$..... no way in would I pay 500 dolars for a video card! (especialy if I dont know what it is!)

It means don't buy it =) It's not a retail card... it's a sample that was sent out by nVidia to be reviewed. Someone is trying to sell it. The main differences is that one MUST have two power connectors and it has absolutely no warranty at all.

*EDIT* The seller has zero feedback as well... one more reason not to buy it.

The 6800GT does have only 1 power connecter and i believe a single slot cooler.
The 6800 Ultra has 2 connecters and a duel slot collect like the ones shown in those pictures.
I'm not sure what that is but it sure as hell does not look like a GT.
Wait for retail - thats what im doing - it gives me chance to save up
