i plan to get a 128 MB video card ..
options what i was thinking was for .. ATI raedon / GEforce 6200 ...
please gimme suggestions along with pros and cons of it ..

How intensively do you plan to use this video card? Budget?

nor a regular gamer .. but do play quake/unreal tourni at times ..
i just want a vga card at the moment ..
dont want it to cost too much .. as i already am taking amd 64 3200+ (939) with asus a8ne with 1G ram ..
so just want a basic video card which should suffice my basic needs ,..

A 6200 non-TC or a used 9800 pro.

9800 Pro would be a pretty good low-midrange card. You'd be able to play all games at decent quality.

just wanted to know what should one look for when he decides to get a card ..

I generally look first at what slot type:AGP or PCI-E?
Than I look at the model:EX:6xxxx or higher for NVIDIA and 96XX for ATI
Than Memory:64MB,128MB,256MB...don't forget to look at bits...
Last:All the other good stuff likepen GL,Shader,pixel pipelines and other stuff
