Video game violence

Is there any record of teenage violence increasing in Asian countries due to video games. Everybody blames these games for teenage violence going up in America, but is violence also increased in Asian countries or is it just the American Society.

IIRC, there was a study a while ago showing increased violence in Korea as well.

I'm Asian...I play violent video games... nothing better popping headshots all day. Any ways, it depends on the person, and how he/she was raised by their parents and the peers around them . That sort of stuff.

It's just a coincidence, no connection of violence of whatsoever in regards to videogames. ALL we need is more proof, right now, it is insufficient and quistionable.

It has everything to do with raising your children, but that does not mean games cannot affect you. There is every possiblity that a video game is what pushed a kid over the line. The line between reality and virtual reality was crossed a while ago.

lol QFT man, I'd been reading stories of Asian men dying @ their desktop playing MMORPGs . Playing 30-40 hours straight. Pretty amazing to be honest.

Of course, it is a possibility that a child might have a blurred view what is and what is not in the world. HOPEFULLY being a grown a up with having some education might cleared them up, but as always there will be adults living in fantasy, fantasizing some crazy stuff .....

I can't recall if it was just arrests for violent crimes or violence in general, but yes there has been a significant decline since videogames became popular. Give me a few minutes to find the actual info.

it has decreased i believe 20% since the 80s, and has been on a steady decline since 1995
