have a xp 2400 and i just ordered the x800xt platinum for $435.00 gateway shipped online. How cpu clogged will i be until i upgrade to a 3500 or 3800 around september. I have a 9600 pro now. Also what power supply would i need minimum for the x800xt. i have a 300 watt now thanks sorry for a little off topic

I have had good luck with Visiontek and the lifetime warranty is a definate plus. The site says that they are shipping now and the news section says "immediate shipment". There are $499, which is MSRP, and I don't pay tax so I went ahead and added them to my list of pre-orders. Already got the confirmation e-mail, but it doesn't say anything about when it will ship. We'll see how it goes!

Does anyone know if Visiontek makes the cards or if they get them from ATI? The pics of the card look the same, including the graphic on the cooler.

Did anybody else order this directly from Visiontek? I just placed an order and on the order summary page (which appears AFTER you submit your order) is says, "All orders are on allocation, please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery". Sounds like they may just be taking pre-orders too. I emailed them about and will post if I hear back. If this is the case, I'm going cancel and just wait out the Gateway ($434) deal...

Visiontek?!!!???

I thought they went out of business for awile then reformed and became BFG? I remember this cause my so called lifetime warranty on a GF3 which crapped out could no longer be redemmed because "visontek" was out of biz at the time.

The original Vistiontek did go out of business. This Hartford company bought the rights to name. As you mentioned, the real guys behind the old Visiontek reformed under the name BFG.
