Vista & ATI X850 XT PE

I have gotten 3 builds of Vista (beta 2, 5536 and RC1). With all three I have freshly installed on my system, updated and then installed the latest ATI CCC drivers (beta 2 for beta 2 and 5536 and RC1 for RC1). In all three instances when I can get into the menu of the game, be it CS:Source or Doom 3 or WoW, but the screen is all screwed up, the closest explanation I can give is, it can't draw anything proper. I've search and search and no one seems to be having problems but me.

Has anyone seen these issues? How do I fix them?

Anyone who runs into this problem...the ATI ccc display manager did not detect my lcd proper, it showed it in the primary window but with a big red X over the display...as soon as I clicked the DETECT button, the problem went away. As far as I can tell this is an issue with ATI's ccc, because the same problem occurred on a separate machine/screen combination.
