You cant drag the quick launch bar, or any other toolbar out of the taskbar and dock it on another side of the screen. That annoys the hell out of me.

for some reason, I get an error every time bittornado closes, as if the program crashed (it didn't).
My only annoyance is all of the people complaining about it. That's not directed at this thread, just a comment in general.

Did you unlock the tool bar and side bar, task bars first?
i have my side bar floating, and i have the start menu on the sides
2) then you will need a better PC or a better video card, or more RAM
Working fine for me. Maybe I'm not sure what you're seeing. Please describe.Originally posted by: orion23
Explorer and IE 7 still cannot remember window size.
Windows + F key.Windows search. I hate the new one with all my guts. What was wrong with the OLD one?
Is it just me, or is there a way to make the search pane be available always?
Windows + F again. Use your favorite searches in explorer (Windows + E, favorite links pane) if you are doing something commonly. Date wise you'll find Recents already in there. If you want to search for a range (begining & ending) use a boolean search. See helpfiles. So many damn steps to start searching for something by created date or so.
Sorry, don't know what you're seeing here. Give step by steps to repro.Folder options still suck. I cannot get windows to remember some columns. Created date, modified date...
And there is something wrong with the "point to select" option. Most of the time nothing gets selected when pointing!

That's really a Creative Labs problem with their drivers with some boards rather then Vista,Audigy's are working ok in Vista x64.

Not true
and both of you are inaccurate.
see my sig? well mine is working properly in Vista64 it was only missing EAX
last week they FINALLY released the EAX drivers and now my X-FI is working 100% in Vista 64 finally.
re: noises.
seems like you have a configuration problem, or some interference
you might want to open a new topic to talk about it, instead of highjacking this topic

Here is something I don't understand. Say I have 4-5 programs open. Some are minimized on the taskbar and some are not. If you hold the cursor of one of the minimized programs it gives you a snapshot thumbnail, but if you hold the cursor over one that is just behind another program in the background it shows it in realtime. Don't know if that is a limitation or what.
The other one that is related to the above is say you just want to get back to the desktop and you press the desktop button. Your desktop shows but now the sidebar is gone and so are the icons. It will reappear if you go back to a program and then close that program which then leaves the desktop viewable. The same thing happens when using Flip3d and you flip to the desktop. Just the picture of the desktop there, no sidebar, etc.
Anyone see this, or make sense of what I'm saying. Always hard to describe stuff like this, instead of just showing you.

The first thing you mentioned I had never noticed before, but you are right. I have a scrolling RSS feed bar running across firefox for instance, I opened two instances of firefox, one minimized and one maximized. When I mouse over the maximised window I can see it in real time, the RSS feed ticker is moving. When I mouse over the minimized one I do not see the ticker moving.
So then I tried to hit the desktop and the flip3D quick launch icons, my sidebar did go away, but my desktop icons stayed.

If you just see an icon instead of a realtime view then the app is not supplying data to dwm for some reason. What happens if you maximize then minimize the one that's not displaying?
Regarding the sidebar...it's just an somewhat special app so if you hit Windows+D or the desktop icon it will minimize off the screen along with the other apps. If you go to sidebar properties and tell it to always be on top it will latch on to the side of the screen and not minimize with the other apps.
The sidebar and startbar will not show on your desktop during flip-3d. I believe this is normal. It just shows the actual desktop itself plus items on it.

Yeah, mistaken about the icons dissappearing, but I will try to check always on top for the sidebar and see if that helps.
But yeah, whenever you minimize an application, the thumbnail view will not show the realtime view, just a snapshot.
