Brand new rig I just built, AMD X2 6000+ water cooled, ASUS Crosshair, Mushkin 2X2GB DDR2-800 4-3-3-10 2T, EVGA 8800 Ultra Superclocked, Thermaltake ToughPower 1200W PSU. Vista will just randomly lock up, completely freezing. Reinstalled Vista twice already, making sure to only install Vista security updates and hiding drivers for the rest of my system and dl'ing them through nvidia/ASUS.
Ran Memtest (windows version) for a few hours yesterday without a hitch. Then closed both instances of that and ran Orthos blend stress test which ran for a few hours fine so I left it on and went to bed. Got up and my monitor was in sleep mode and my pc was still running but nobody was home, locked up again. Wondering if I should disable the nvidia RAID drivers from startup (it's hardware RAID, do I really need software?).
The other issue I have is ASUS Probe2 reporting a lot of my voltages at 4.08v, but I just think the program is FUBAR. My motherboard temps report an average of 49c which is hot (my cpu reaches 35c max after hours of stress testing) and I have my memory and cpu settings/voltages set manually in my BIOS (which is most recent BIOS for my motherboard). Been running DOS memtest86 without a hitch for over 10 hours now. Also turned off indexing of my hdd's.
That about covers it! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
