Vista Randomly Locks Up

Brand new rig I just built, AMD X2 6000+ water cooled, ASUS Crosshair, Mushkin 2X2GB DDR2-800 4-3-3-10 2T, EVGA 8800 Ultra Superclocked, Thermaltake ToughPower 1200W PSU. Vista will just randomly lock up, completely freezing. Reinstalled Vista twice already, making sure to only install Vista security updates and hiding drivers for the rest of my system and dl'ing them through nvidia/ASUS.
Ran Memtest (windows version) for a few hours yesterday without a hitch. Then closed both instances of that and ran Orthos blend stress test which ran for a few hours fine so I left it on and went to bed. Got up and my monitor was in sleep mode and my pc was still running but nobody was home, locked up again. Wondering if I should disable the nvidia RAID drivers from startup (it's hardware RAID, do I really need software?).
The other issue I have is ASUS Probe2 reporting a lot of my voltages at 4.08v, but I just think the program is FUBAR. My motherboard temps report an average of 49c which is hot (my cpu reaches 35c max after hours of stress testing) and I have my memory and cpu settings/voltages set manually in my BIOS (which is most recent BIOS for my motherboard). Been running DOS memtest86 without a hitch for over 10 hours now. Also turned off indexing of my hdd's.
That about covers it! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1200W PSU...and you're using up maybe 1/3rd of it under load. I just don't understand people these days.

The Corsair HX520 is 84% at the wattage your system uses and is a 1/3rd less price. Room for growth? What will ever require that much power? Nothing in a computer ever will. Seems as though the purchaser of that rig has money to burn with those specs. Why AMD would be another humorous question.

Anyway, as much as I loathe Vista it sounds more like a hardware issue.

You can reinstall Vista all day, but that's not what's causing your issue. If you don't change anything else, you'll never isolate the problem.

I never understand why so many people's first inclination when they hit a problem is to completely blow away the OS.

As much as we all love to argue about personal preference, I don't have the patience for that now so I'll take a rain check lol.
Well after 11 hours of Memtest without any errors, I booted up Vista, disabled nV raid in startup, dl'ed new Silicon Image SATA drivers and rebooted. Ran some basic stuff -> Fierfox with 8 tabs open, Core Temp, Control Panel with 3 different pages up, nV monitor, and then decided to run 3DMark06.
Ran great, not a hitch. My Ultra gpu clocks 705mhz and memory at 1161 and ran the test 3 times with no problem (except lack of higher scores with higher clocks on my card lol). Only thing running hot is my NB @50c, but it always runs hot for some reason.
So I think the nV RAID software drivers were causing issues, even though they were dl'ed directly through nV (part of my nforce drivers). Only other problem I have is my Thermaltake Media Lab isn't working, it's hooked up but software says it isn't. It shows up on device manager as an unknown device, so I just disabled it for now, my G15 rev2 has an LCD lol.
EDIT: Only re-installed Vista because that were some recommendations that I received in other forums.

Rig is stable through 3DMark06 and normal usage so I left F@H on last night and went to bed. When I got up it was frozen again, montior was sleeping and pc was running but wasn't responding to anything so had to hard shutdown and restart. I reopened F@H and my pc only got through 400/5000 of the WU it was working on. I've tried so many different things and it still locks up like this.

My monitor is set to sleep after 20 minutes but I have sleep/standby for my pc disabled, and disabled hibernate as well.

Does the monitor shutdown coincide with the hangups at all?

That's what I'm starting to think, I'll try to change the Vista settings to not power down my monitor and see if I have success with that. It's a pain right now because I have one monitor and 2 pc's, I'm waiting on a second monitor cable from Newegg to make it a little easier lol.

Turned off sleep mode on monitor and left the pc on all night and it didn't lock up. Weird issue of my new pc taking 52 seconds a frame on the exact same F@H WU that my s939 X2 4800+ (@2.71Ghz) was doing in 22 seconds a frame for that WU. When I got up in the morning I saw my pc was alive and kicking and started using it. Opened a few programs and when I went to open GPU-Z it froze. Dang! Might be my fault that time because I did change the location of the files without creating a new shortcut lol. Lockups also happened a lot less after disabling nV RAID on startup even though they were nV direct drivers. Need to start gaming soon then on to overclocking!
