Vista soundcard

What's a good soundcard to use with vista. I would like to get hardware sound back My onboard is decent but can't seem to keep up at times not sure how to describe it. I have a creative card but if it's not being used right either then I don't see any reason to use it, that and i'm tired of the bloat and crappy support.

Download the DPC Latency Checker here and use it. See how your latency is. I would not get a Creative soundcard on Vista or any other machine and especially with Vista.

I bought the creative card before I had vista and I'm not using it now. I'm using onboard at the moment.

I have an audigy 2 that works okay for the most part.

My xfi works well in Vista.

The M-Audio Audiophile 2496 is a fantastic card if you use it mostly for listening to music and aren't worried about 3d audio for gaming. 64 bit Vista drivers are out of beta for it too, so you should be good to go.
