Vista support 4.1 audio??

I have ReakTek HD audio with 4.1 speakers which is awesome on XP, but on Vista only outputs on the front speakers and sub for windows sounds and all media players. The back speakers have a weak signal at best, like low frequency streaming audio.

But then when I test the speakers individually in the audio manager, all test good with full sound.

I've tried several different Vista drivers and played with the audio manager. Has anyone heard of this before or have any ideas?
