First off, VoIP is not something I am familiar with, though I understand the concept.
My wife was given the opportunity to work from home, and they gave her one of their phones from work. Rather than sending someone out to install it, they configured the phone there, and just sent it with her. I was told I could plug it into my router and wallah! Not the case.....Whenever I have the phone connected to the RJ45, it shows "Searching for IPU --- IPU not found".
I have Mediacom Cable internet service. Does anything need to be setup on their end to make this phone work? It's a Toshiba office phone.
