i couldnt resist... i bid. always wanted one. doubt ill be able to afford whatever it gets to in a week, though.

Anyone else think it would be a cool idea to bring back the 3dfx 'voodoo' name to the retail market ?

ive never heard of a v6000 going for 5 grand. highest ive ever heard was 2 grand, and that was an abnormal price. normally theyre like 500-1200

Yeah I heard that too. Good thing they're only using half the 3dfx name, so it's only making them slip up and lose ground in the 3d market - had they used the whole thing Nvidia probably would be about to go under .

holy cow I heard about the 6000 but I never saw it...

until today.


I used to have a V5500 PCI, I paid 100 3 years ago and I sold it to some guy in China for $200 1 1/2 years ago. Talk about appreciation! That was the only time I ever made money after buying some hardware brand new.
