Anyone know how many V5 6000's made it out the 'factory'?

Did any V3 4000's ever get made?

like what articles claim , 50 cards of prototype

and Yes,
the Voodoo 4 4000 (16MB version i think)was in Beta,
coz the V4 4500 is a 32MB version

I am personally looking for the Voodoo 5 5000 AGP 32MB,
but all efforts are in vain..

Nd4Spd-Se ( another 3dfx card collector) is looking for the V4 4000 too .. but the card is just too rare i think

I know the article said 50 were made ,but it didn't say how many got out, that's what I'm curious about

Btw wasn't it V3 4000?

What's the V5 5000 then?

V5 5000 is like the V5 5500
but instead of 64MB its only 32MB

as for the other question
well, as I remembered ,
Nd4Spd-Se told me it was a Voodoo 4 architecture using VSA-100 chip
and its 16MB instead of the regular 32MB (V4 4500)

Wow, amazing collection. How do you keep all those cards? Just in a box, or are they on display? It'd be friggin great to see all those cards up on a big wall on someone's living room... like a hunters cabin.

Yeah I have it displayed on my living hall. Ask Pillage2001, he has seen it.
I try to display most of the cards in retail box,
but I failed to obtain the Obsidian Card in retail.. missed it out on ebay.. argh

the OEM or barecards are protected in a knife Display Case...
so everything is cool now

Awesome. I just got a 5500 AGP, for S&G, basically.

I always wanted one of these, but couldn't deny that it looked like throwing money into a hole.
I just didn't have $300 to give them.

I'm impressed that people are still willing to shell out this much scratch for a piece of equipment that should stay under glass as the edsel of video cards...

now that I got the 5500, though, I have to wonder, WHY does the 5500 box have a picture of HALO on it?
From the year 2000? My 9700PRO doesn't run it that well, I can't imagine how the 5500 would...

good luck bidders-

Halo was originally scheduled to be released as a PC game, but microsoft bought up Bungi (the developer) and made halo an xbox exclusive for 2 years. The reason Halo runs like crap is it is some of the most unoptimised code ever written :-/

Honestly... This is just antique.... This is like collecting... I care about fps, I care about AA. My 9700 pro will only cost you 250 and it will put that to shame. I mean sure it was powerful for its time.... But really...your just left at something to frame on the wall and google at.

Great way to spend you money

I guess its just his point of view... perhaps he don't see This kind of collection similiar to stamps collection or wine collection where people would pay mega bucks for something they really want.
and know they would never get to make use of it but just display

i was just glad nvidia reconized 3dfx by putting the 'fx' in thier product line. i dont know how much of the 3dfx core remains in nvidias company, but its obvious 3dfx has a huge appreciation and fan base to this day.
