Ya know I would still recommend the Z-560's to anyone looking for a great set of 4.1 gaming speakers. I got mine on that Dell deal for $115.00 shipped and what a deal that was, you can still find them in that ballpark if you look around.
I believe Logitech makes quality stuff, these speakers have been a pleasure for me. The thing is, every product is going to come under a certian amount of scrutiny from a percentage of people who use it. No companys product is perfect all the time, sometimes they have bad runs/batches, not that this has happened to the 560's, but who knows? A small 3 or 4% defective product one month doesn't justify knocking the whole product line though. It's like that new Gigabyte KT333 board (GA-7VRXP) - seems like the company had some bad batches (AGP voltage or something right?) and this once praised board quickly succumbed to mass paranoia. If you have been following that whole thing lately, you'll notice that those problems seem to be history and the majority of people buying this motherboard now are more than happy.
Besides, you crank up these babies to volume 10 w/beastie boys for an hour, then some people act suprised when they blow their subwoofer! Hmmmm? must be defective, right.
