Walmart CompDept Clearance

My local Walmart is "redesigning" their computer department.
I don't know if it's national.
They tell me they'll be sorting through everything and putting many items on clearance all week.
So far, I haven't seen any MUST buys.

I did find a 1.5 foot CD case/box that they didn't know they carried.
It's bright red.
I wish it was black.
It's $11.99.
I'll stick with the cheapo $2, Sterilite, Show Offs CD case with handle.

i would think this is just your local store, the store my sister works at moved their computer department recently, and sold some of the junk they had at half price (still not worth it when they want $13 for a usb cable that flashes !), but she says she's not heard of anything nationally.

I saw mainly speakers on clearance at the walmart here, but nothing extrodinarly marked down.

4 local walmarts around me are doing the same thing, altho it looks to be their entire electronics department. I picked up a Pioneer stand alone dvd recorder for $70, and they had a couple others along with some VCR's, and some TV's. As for computer stuff, they had 2 KLH 17" monitors for $60, and a bunch of misc other stuff. Not the hottest deals in the world, but not to bad either.

They had most of the display model tv's below cost at my local Wal-Mart, some decent deals.

My walmart in Faribault, MN is clearenciong out a ton of DigiCams.

and A60 for only $258!

The mods dropped for most of the department and thats what they are doing. I would never buy a tv thats been on 24/7 for who knows how long. Some deals can be had but the deals are slim pickings this time around it seems.

I didn't see any must haves or deals too good to pass up.
