Warcraft battlenet problem

I have around 10 pc linked together using a 16 port switch to an adsl modem router. Me and my friends recently having inconsistant problem of connecting to Battlenet. After checking through the Battlenet & other websites, many mentioned about doin a port forwarding for the Warcraft game port. Do I need to do that? We are doing only peer to peer connection without any server. The dealer I bought the router modem & switch from says I don't need to port forward since am not using any server. What should I do? To port forward or not to?

I thought by using battle.net you were on their server. Which version of warcraft is this, perhaps there is another way to do what you're trying to accomplish?

We using the latest ver which is 1.18. Do you think I need to do port forward for all the pc to get a better connection?
