Just set mine up, the picture looks very very good and very bright. Does very good for the price i picked it up for. And hey, no dead pixels....and even if there was some best buy 14 day return policy FTW.

Westinghouse makes good monitors. We have a 42" 1080p LCD TV by them and now i have this on my desk.

DVI-D & VGA inputs. Was $204 after tax in store. About the same price you can get similar 19" widscreen monitors for on newegg.com

Not HOT but not bad either.

More likely than not, they'll issue a similar rebate going into November, as they've done since August.

yup, me too.

Also, I read on HF that some people that got the same branded monitor from this same place never got thier rebates after 3-4 months.

But IMO, does this monitor offer anything over these ones at newegg?

your choice of NON wide screen or widescreen for under $190 shipped. Ofcourse tax applies also, but these monitors has faster ms rates.

I dunno, i've never messed with that Hanss-G brand.

I've been very impressed with our 42" LCD TV by Westinghouse as well as many others. AVS forum gives these Westinghouse displays good reviews and i can back it up. It looks great in HD and when hooked up to my PC.

This 19" i feel is great cuz its the same price pretty much as the ones online. Plus you get a "dead pixel return policy" from Best Buy.

Best Buy does not suck this time, I'm not normally a fan of Best buy, but the do sell good products at good deals every now and then.

As far as you Vadp, go buy that monitor if you want it so bad. I was just posting what i thought was a good deal (and is).

Your only goal was the thread crap. If you really gave a damn about that monitor or others, you would have posted a new thread on it. Instead, you try to start a eArguement.

Stop being a jackass.

Plus if you have a best buy in your city, you could go "buy it now" But newegg shipping is pretty fast and i don't think your in a extreme rush.

The deap pixel policy is great, which I think helps this deal be worth it if you want a 19inch widescreen for cheap.

As for brands though, is there really much of a difference between the low-quality monitors?

All monitors for under... say... $300 (some dells can be this cheap) can't really do 16.7 million colors, but instead use poor dithering to get up to 16.2, offer sub-par contrast/directional viewing thanks to their TN panels, and overrated response times -- which don't even matter that much since ghosting is less obvious than people think. 8ms != ghosting if it's a real response time.

But instead of reiterating everything I've read on THIS forum, I'll just link you to the big stickied thread: LCD Buyer's Guide

It's a nice deal for a cheap monitor, but it's just that, a cheap monitor.

I'm not trying to thread crap here -- it is a decent deal if you want a cheap 19inch widescreen LCD and not have to worry about dead pixels.
