lots of disingenuous "facts"
GM makes EV's in Michigan also, at Detroit Hamtramck.
GM has a lot of EV tech.
Korea seems like a fine place to design cars.
omg! GM has parts made overseas!!!11 just like everyone else?? some of the bolt parts are made in Korea. like the batteries and motor. the final assy and body parts are done in Michigan.
Why is it so bad if GM wants to sell cars in the largest car market in the world?
who really cares about some weird accounting rules in china.
70 % of there vehicles are made outside the US!!!!11... and 64% of total production are sold outside the US.... so that just says that they are a global company selling cars everywhere and making cars many places too. also, the CT6 hybrid and the envision sold more in china than the US, so they imported them here. big deal.
OMG they trained foreign engineers!!11 that probably got their degrees in the US anyway, and was this guy in the room? maybe the Chinese were training us too.
This guy is like all those youtube ads that are like " this jet engineer has discovered how to heat your house for 1 dollar a day!" and then they show a picture of a jet engine and a tiny resistance space heater and fins that look like a jet engine on the front.
having spent time working in Australia, its a wonder all the auto makers did not shut down decades ago. nobody makes cars in Aus. anymore. 1 car was produced in aus in 2017 and even the decade before that it was less than 50k per year for all makers in the whole country.
i'm sure this guy is the only one ever on earth to look into this and "connect the dots" eye roll.
one of my professors that taught all over Asia and the US for my ME degree said something like: Engineers in Asia are better at the engineering and the only advantage we have is our creativity, and they are catching up. this was about 15 years ago.
