What kind of watches do you all like?

this is mine, except I have the automatic chronograph not the quartz model

I've got a stainless Festina chronograph that I'm fond of. Someday (read: when I win the lottery) I'd like to buy a Breitling.....they're gorgeous.

Seiko 5 Automatic 17 jewels. The numbers are in Arabic. I could have gotten a regualr one, but I had to learn Arabic so this kinda helped.

I agree on the Breitling idea.. they have way too many numbers on them for me though

I don't wear a watch or any other jewelry, not even a wedding ring. When necessary, I carry a pocket watch.

Edit: I don't have an alarm clock, either. I just wake up when I'm supposed to.

A Guess Waterpro Titanium. It looks similar to this one, except for a more dark grey face and its made out of titanium.

And yes the titanium does make the thing so freaking light. So light it doesn't seem like I have it on.

You mean all the zeros after the "$" on the price tag? Yeah, I have a hard time with those too.

I have an Elgin PQS that I usually wear. I also have a cheap Russian PAKETA watch that I like just b/c it has a 24-hour dial and I like the way it ticks.
For surf I used to wear a Shark. Now I have a Timex. I want one of those cool Rip Curl watches that has a built-in tide clock/wave height/moon phase, but I just can't see spending $100 for a watch I'm only going to wear on weekends, and is going to only be subject to a lot of abuse.

It can be purchased at "big 5" for $39.99 when it goes on sale (every 3 weeks i believe)

Anyone have any other suggestions for $50 and under?

BTW, I purchased my fossil blue watch from the fossil outlet for $40...

I'm a cheapa$$

edit: I dress in urban style clothing with...my clothing colors are primairly blue, white, black, and red...so this would match.

seiko quartz. love their watches. so simple, yet elegant and professional looking. i get many compliments on my watch, it wasn't that expensive compared to my dad's 10 grand rolex (heavy as a mofo, i tried it on once), but I like it anyways. More attractive on the younger generation though.

I was talking about the 37 extra dials on them, but yes the price tag can be pretty scary as well

No Arabic numbers as in ARABIC the language spoken by many middle easterners and some african nations.
Whahed, idnin, telete, arbah, hamsah, sette etc... It has different writing. I bought it in Turkey.

(The Arabic numbers we know of today was originated in India, but the Arabs got credit for it)
