I am currently looking at changing my cooling setup. I have the Big Water SE installed at the time. I am currently cooling my 7900GT and my E6600 overclocked to 3.33GHz. It is really pushing this cooling system. My cpu goes as high as 60-65, At the most. This is on extremely hot days when its 90F+ outside. I am just wondering what kind of improved temps I would see with this new setup. I will only be cooling my CPU with the new Danger Den system. This is the system I would be getting.

Danger Den System

Current Cooling

If there is any information you need that I didn?t provide please ask away.

I also have an addition 80mm blowing down on the Mobo and a 120mm intake at the front of my case. I have a Ultra Aluminus Case.

What kind of performance increase will i see with a 120x2 Rad system compared to a 120x1 Rad system?

Double the surface area, double the maximum wattage of heatload that the radiator can cool... in a very basic sense.

IE: with 1x Nexus fan at 12v, a 120x1 radiator can cool 100w of heat down to a decent temperature. A 120x2 can cool 200w of heat down to the same temperature. A 120x3 rad can cool 300w of heat down to the same temperature.

thanks Marci. Now i need to figure out how to fit a 120x2 radiator into my case. I don't want anything external. I think if i cut a hole in the bottom it will work. and have it blow out the bottom. its about the only place i think of that one would fit. Oh one more thing fillport or a reservoir? How much difference will that make? or is it just personal preference?

with respects to a T-line or a resovoir its just preference. One takes up more space, but bleeds very fast. The other takes alot longer to bleed but is cheaper and doesnt take up alot of space. The T-line would be "safer" if your really worried about leaks, a res could crack and start leaking after time.

Even some of the best res can cause problems if you aren't very careful and observant. A T is more of a headache initially but once you get it going it's a lot easier to manage over the long haul. A T also has the distinction of being easier to plumb for. TT is crap, like someone said. DD used to be great, but the haven't advanced their designs very much of late. If you're of a mind, you might want to consider mixing and matching parts. That's the easy way to get just what you want.

Some of the German blocks are starting to look VERY good. I guess they figured out that 1/2 inch ID is worth it, considering the American market.
