wd 60 gb problems

i got this list fri. when bb had the good sales
i can be downloading to the hd fine ... but if i do something intensive like extracting or unraring a big movie or game,
it makes a clicking sound and then freezes up my comp

Have you tried running the western digital diags?

You got a bum HDD... it needs to be swapped or it will fail soon.

Same thing happened with my IBM a year ago. Hope you have a second HDD.
