ok cool. and holy crap godaddy is so annoying their site is like a big ass spamfest. i only use it cause there are always coupons making stuff dirt cheap. but i haven't gotten a domain in ages. i feel like i'm being coerced by the feds into buying all this extra shit while i'm trying to check out.
I try to tell anyone who wants a domain to always get it with a reputable domain company like namecheap, whatever.
hey vivi just one more quick question. if i sign up on your hosting, can i get the sites all set up before i change the nameservers on the domain, just by putting them at the ip or something, so that there would be no downtime? and then i could cancel my other hosting after i see it is actually on the new dns?
Yeah, you get a temporary URL you can use to see the site functioning, assuming you aren't calling domain.com in your code, it will work.
okay i'm going to go ahead and do it today after i get back from a baptism. what exactly will i have to do in order to have you restore the site? i did a full backup with cpanel so i have the tar/gz file.
