website hacked :(

i definitely did not give my password out to anyone. it should be a pretty secure password too -- about 8 characters alphanumeric, not in the dictionary.

i liked dixiesys before, too, which is why i hesitate to leave. but what work does it take to disable a website?

and all that was on my website was just a personal website, writings, blogs ,etc. nothing naughty.

i searched googlegroups and noticed my site came up here:

Don't you have a back up of your site on your machine? This is an easy fix (unless they hosting site WANTS money from you). Just FTP to your site, delete all .html pages and reload them from your known, good, clean back up files. Make sure you change your passwords first, and there are no trojans on the machine that you're FTPing from.

Screw Dixiesys, I dumped them a few months ago and haven't looked back.
