website issue

weird issue! I can view my website from work, and at home....I can also ping it and get an IP address.

The thing is, my mother cannot view it or ping it...the ip seems to be blocked?? But her router has nothing blocked, tried two machines at her home...no luck, any ideas? :S

I don't live at home...where would something like this fit? The only thing I could think that it MIGHT fit would be networking?

This is what it sounds like to me. Try having your mom perform a traceroute to your website and see where it gets stuck.
From a windows command prompt: tracert <site name>

First off... wrong forum. Should be in networking.

Second, it depends on what error message she gets when she pings.

tracert would be a better tool in this case...check her HOSTS file too.

If you know that ICMP isn't blocked anywhere along the way and she can't ping by IP then it is most likely a routing issue. If she can ping by IP but not by domain name, there is likely a DNS resolution issue somewhere along the way.

And yes, you might get more experienced eyes viewing it in Networking.
