Weird Cisco 2501 Router problem

So, I bought a Cisco 2501 router from Ebay for $10 and I'm trying to reset it to factory default as stated here (Cisco 2501 Factory reset step by step)

And this is what I get when using Hyperterminal...

That's just the banner...after you do a write erase you won't see those DOD lines.

Actually it's kinda scary that the DOD didn't erase the config before releasing the router for sale...

If you do not know what the enable password is then you will have to perform password recovery on the router. You will then be able to get into Privilege mode and global config to erase the configuration.
