I finally got everything I need to get my homemade PVR up and running. I have video and everything and the Vista remote works great. But, I'm getting a weird audio feedback on the thing, whether watching live TV or recorded programs. As well, during live tv the audio doesn't match up to the picture, but the trailing/ghost audio does matches up just fine. However, during recorded stuff, it's just the opposite, the ghost doesn't match up and it gets quite annoying. Basically it sounds like the following:
"Maybe I should have been nervous...*quieter* maybe I should have been nervous"
It's really starting to annoy me and I'm considering taking this stupid thing back to the store, as it's been more hassle than it's worth. But, I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I have a PVR-150 and I'm using it in Vista with media center and a media center remote.
I have everything connected as follows:
PVR-150 audio connection to splitter/splitter into green audio out on AC'97
PC speakers to other side of splitter/splitter into green audio out on AC'97
RCA (R/W) connected to back of the "audio out" on Motorola DCT 2224 cable box, converted into minijack, minijack into blue audio in connection on AC'97
I've tried a bunch of different combos concerning connection of the cables, but none of them work properly, or work the same as described above.
Here's a crappy diagram I drew...

I'm wondering if it's the onboard sound, but so far, it's my only option. I have an old Creative X-Gamer 5.1, but Creative didn't make any drivers for it, so the audio I get with it is usually staticy.
