Hi folks
I got a Gigabyte 7DXR today (the one with the RAID on it), took it out of its box, installed it and hey presto, it works first time and boots into Windows 98 successfully. However...
1. When I try and turn the computer off using the switch at the front, it won't turn off! It either resets or does nothing. It's not the switch as I can turn it on.
2. The board will not restart after a reboot. If I go into the BIOS, change stuff and press F10 to exit, it goes into standby mode. Same happens if I reboot from Windows. I can usually get it to restart if I press the reset button on the front of the computer but sometimes I can't even get it to restart then and have to turn the wall switch off and then on again [the PSU doesn't have a switch on it].
I know that the PSU is not playing up as I've tried a different PSU [with a switch on the back]. I have put my Asus A7A266 back in and that works fine - i.e. it reboots when it is supposed to and turns off at the switch. I have tried updating my BIOS to the most recent version and changing the settings for power management in the BIOS but it doesn't make any difference!
Any ideas?
