Any thoughts as to what's going on here? I have no special drivers installed for my mouse and keyboard. I've got a Microsoft Basic Optical Moue v 2.0 that's been fun until now.
I use this mouse with my left hand, so have the buttons reverse. I come in today, and when I try to left click (a normal right click that pulls up the contextual menus) instead of pulling up the menu, it freezes up my mouse cursor for several seconds. I've double checked, and my PC isn't freezing during that, just the mouse.
I've rebooted, I swapped mouse buttons back and confirmed that the left mouse button still causes this weird behavior even when what it does is swapped.
I should add too that the contextual menu doesn't come up after the pause.
It has been intermittently working this morning though.
Is this just my mouse dying? I only started using it like a week ago, and I've used similar Microsoft mice for years without issue.
