I recently took an older Biostar Geforce 6100 AM2 rev1.1 out of storage. I plugged everything in and booted it up, and it seemed to be stuck on the biostar start-up screen. I eventually figured out if you wait a minute or two it gets past the start up screen and you can access the bios, or let it load extremely slowly into the next startup phase. Interestingly, when I disconnect the IDE hard drive it loads up fast and fine. I tried using a SATA hard drive and that worked great too. Then I thought it might be the IDE port, so I tried switching to IDE2, no luck. Then I tried a different IDE hard drive, same thing. Then I tried a different IDE cable, same thing. Is there something I'm missing here? It's like its not properly compatible with IDE devices.
