Hey ATers...
I need some help with a strange problem on a Shuttle XPC (SN41G2)...this is not my computer and I am asking for help on her behalf...so I might or might not have all the information...plz bear with me...=)
Configuration:
CPU: XP 2500+ Barton
Ram: KINGSTON KVR333X64C25 (256 mb x 2 sticks)
Video: Onboard GF4MX (using 64mb shared memory, can be up to 128 mb)
The problem that she is experiencing is that when she tries to play "The Sims", whenever she tries to play at 800x600 resolution, the comptuer would restart automatically without any bluescreen (the "automatic restart" option is unchecked in windows). The game appears to run fine on 1024x768 resolution. There has been other stability issues, but they seem to have gone away by disabling "AGP Fast Writes" in the bios. The latest chipset and video drivers have been installed (or so I've been told by her) but the Sims problem still exists.
There COULD be other problems, but she hasn't really gotten around to try other programs.
Any ideas? I thought this little XPC is supposed to be rock solid in terms of stability!
