With only 2 episodes left, I'm really starting to think that Arnold isn't real.
Obviously, but they didn't know they were getting a season 2 when they wrote it. No doubt this season will end as if it could have been the series finale.Errr... Only 2 episodes of season 1. Not 2 episodes total.

I heard that too, but they can't count on it when writing the first season. HBO didn't renew it for season 2 until after production for season 1 had finished. My only point was that we should have a decent grasp on who this Arnold is by the end of this season, since he's been referenced so much.My understanding is that they came to HBO with a 5 season story arc. Not saying this season won't end with a decent conclusion, but I assume it still has legs.

Penultimate first season episode tonight. Should be a doozy.
Proportional to your standards, my brain would explode if you're right. Here's hoping that it's less boring than the first 8 episodes.
Is anyone else still watching this?? Lol Episode 9 blew sh*t wide open.
The Internet is much more prominent regarding television than it was back in 2003ish (can't exactly remember) and streaming through HBO Now is a huge help. I know that Nolan came to HBO with a 5 season arc. HBO renewing it before the end of season 1 is a GREAT sign.I think they're doing a great job and look forward to every episode. Hope they don't Deadwood this...
I can answer some questions, if you have anything specific you'd like to know before you re-watch.I watched the latest episode last night and am more confused than ever. Will need to re-watch to understand all that is going on.
William can't be the MIB. As stated before, the head of security interacted with both timelines. Unless he is a host, he would have aged somehow. We know some of the staff are hosts (besides the obvious). When William came, he was interacting with a girl who implied she was a host.
If the security guy is a host, the fact he knew about Bernard's trysts won't be a problem. But, why set up drama unless it's to throw us off?
Yeah, it was just him being notified that Dolores was off her path. It was intentionally misleading since we were watching her with William right before it.Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only time I can remember the head of security 'interacting' with William's timeline is when someone mentioned that Dolores was off her normal path. Other than that, I don't recall him doing any interacting with William at all. Even with that, Dolores appears to be again off her normal path and that's ending with her connecting to the MIB.
