What am I worth?

I dont think I am getting paid like I should be and just wondering what all of you think.

I have an associates degree in Computer Networking Technology and this is my first job in the field. I feel kind of lucky because I was able to get this job. I manage the network in all aspects. When a computer has problems, I fix it. When peolp cant get their mail off our mail server, I fix it. When people cant get to the web, I fix it. When we needed RAS, I set it up. I do manual backups because my boss wont buy me the proper software for out tape drive. I even end up doing some html stuff too. Granted even doing this I still have plenty of time to surf and read IT related books. In your opinions, how much should I make. I live in the southern part of the US. Currently making $7.50.

Since you have an associates degree in Computer Networking Technology, I really don't think you should be on wages, I think you should find a salary job. From what I am hearing from friends, you should make around 25K per year. Go find a new job!

Ya can't be serious? $7.50? Don't wanna sound like a jerk but people workin at the McDonalds up the street start off making $8. I thinkmaybe you should be looking for another job.

$7.50 an hour? That blows. I make over $12 just doing LAN tech support. I fully expect to top $28,000 next year, with OT & holiday pay.

clouds: you are getting ripped off man, you definetly need to find another job or ask for more money. im a student worker at my university in texas, and i started at $7/hr a year ago, now making more than that.

I do the same stuff for $30 an hour, but I work as a subcontractor, so the company pays what I bill them out at. The pisser about that is I have to pay all my own taxes. But what you're doing is definitely worth more than $7.50... that company is ripping you off!!! Find another job!

I live in the southeast and started out at $36K with just a few months experience. 4 years later,an MCSE+Inet,CCNA,CCNP, and a CCSE(Checkpoint Certified Security Engineer), I am way way higher. I think you should start looking elsewhere, because first off, you're making so little, they will probably balk when you ask for a substantial raise.
