What CPU temp is best?

Hi....
My duron is overclocked at 8.5x X 105 = 893Mhz right now. The Vcore is 1.7. I want this processor to last for awhile. Right now VIA's HW moniter says 42C when im doing nothing and about 45C after 30 minutes of UT. I have a Cooler Master DP5-6H51 HSF on the processor right now, thought it would do the job. Are those temps good enough to last in the long run? or should i get a new HSF to bring down the temps?
Advice anyone. 'novice to overclocking'

I think you should be OK,my own T-bird 900 is at 41c idle & 48c full load ,so as long as it is stable with no regular crashes you should not have any problems,btw put some Sunon 80mm case fans in ,that will help cool it down.

well to answer your question the best cpu temp would be around minus 20 degrees celcius(with goo cpu insulation of corse)

does anyone know why my computer crashes at temps lower than 28C?

i haven't thoroughly tested my computer but it seems that when i shutdown seti and rc5 my temp hits 28 - 30 C and the system locks...
this is only when i oc my fsb to 105

so i wonder what happens if i do hit -20C...might need some crazy cooling...hehe...

The lowest CPU temp is obviously the best. The temps that you have sound fine though. However, you could get better cooling performance by switching heatsinks. The coolermaster isn't exactly the best performer out there, but it does do the job for most applications.
