It's been a while since I last built a computer..
I did my reading, ordered my parts and put it all together. I installed the OS, drivers and stuff, and it's up and running. Is that it? Or is there more I should do?
Do I need to check my bios settings or anything else, or will everything from the factory run just fine? I ran 3DMark and it showed I had one of the slower comparable systems..so I'm just paranoid that i might have done something wrong.
Thanks for the help!
My System:
CPU: Intel C2D e6750
Motherboard: MSI Neo2 FR
Case: CM Stacker 830 SE
HD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 (WD3200AAKS)
Video: BFG 8800GT 512MB OC
CD/DVD: Samsung S203B
RAM: OCZ Gold 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2-800 CL 5-5-5-12
PSU: Antec NeoHE 500w Power Supply
I'm running the Intel Stock Heatsink. There's 2 (120mm) exhaust fans on the case in addition to the (80mm) PSU exhaust, and 3 (120mm) intake fans. My CoreTemp says it's idling at about 22-27 degrees C. When I ran 3DMark it went to 34-37degrees C.
Don't know if any of that matters..just trying to include as much info as possible.
