I am working on piecing together a new system. Been spending time on the motherboard forums reading and posting, getting answers. But now I am on to choosing fans and such for the case. I am using an Asus A7V266-E board, with a Swiftech MCX370 heatsink attached to a Thermaltake 60mm fan.

Now as far as case fans. Does anyone know what the 2 standard fans in the case are actually rated at (dBA, CFM). I am probebly going to put 2 Sunon 80mm fans in the front. One being a 2800RPM normal speed fan in the drive bay, and a 3200RPM highspeed fan below that.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for fan setups in the Antec case. I am really looking forward to the setup I am planning, finally have money to do a full upgrade.

Since these cases have such good air flow--an open front grill and four fans--I use PC Power and Cooling Silencers--28 cfm and 20 db(a). Many here like Panaflo L1A's.

Assuming the fans in the 1030 are the same as the 80mm fans on the Antec web site, the specs are: 34 CFM, 30 dBA. The fan in my power supply is an ADDA, specs unknown.

My first SX1030b was ordered with a Enhance 300W PS and no case fans. I purchased 4 PC Power and Cooling Silencers (80mm, 28cfm and 20dba). Also, I have two other fans inside. Tennmax Stealth for my 3DFX Voodoo3 3000 and an Thermaltake Golden Orb Slot based on the processor. I haven't measured the case temps yet, but it's virtually quiet.

I'm getting ready to purchase my second SX1030b for my computer. It's a factory sealed from emscomputing for $74 + $20 Shipping ($94) and will come with two Antec 80mm Fans. I don't think these will have that good of ratio compared to the Silencers. I will mostlikely purchase four more for this case.

P.S. Forgot to mention that I love these cases. Also, Look at this months issue of Maximum PC. Over half the gamers performance pcs are using these cases.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Sunon 80mm, but that are 25CFM at 23.4 dBA. I like your choice for quiet fans a lot better.
