What is TCP port 111?

I recently downloaded ZoneAlarm and most of the alerts are for tcp port 111. I looked it up and found that port 111 is SUN Remote Procedure, anyone know what that is? I'd also like to say it's amazing how many times people "probe" you and you never knew it. Thanks.

This use to be the most common port scan... You are not running anything that uses that port (like Sun), look the other direction
