I dislike a list which ranks SSDs in terms of performance and to hell with anything else. The Corsair Performance Pro, Corsair Neutron and the Crucial m4 are all ranked as tier 3's while dodgy as fuck Sandforce is ranked at the top. Samsung's 830 is split into tier 1 and tier 2 when it has been one of the best SSD's of the last year. Plextor's M5 series isn't even on the list when it was released long before Samsung's 840 series which is on the list.
A selective list of SSDs in "speed order" isn't really any use to anybody who wants to make an informed decision taking into account cost, speed, compatibility and reliability.
Wow amazingly said. Your smart guy Coupy, Crucial falling to tier 4 is funny. I get avg 540mbps read and Crucial is stable. There have been reports of sammy 840 giving people issues. I would settle for the 830 model you wont tell a difference .... and if not this then Crucial M4 ,,, in these two you get reliability and stable and well made SSDs with good controllers in them and arent prone to quiting on you. gl
