Found out yesterday that I am at exactly 20% or 33 lbs.

I want to lose weight/gain some muscle mass to bring myself down to about 16% (lose about 10 lbs.).

b/c the onetime I did have it done with calipers I was ~22% and I've put on some muscle since then.

I'm gonna have to check on Friday when I hit the gym... granted I'm 4 months into my workout regimen, but curious to find out.

Right now it's mid-high teens. I've been very naughty this winter. Last summer and the two-three before it I got down to 10% or less and will again this summer, I've little doubt.

Our home scale (Tanita BC554) has 2 settings: regular and athlete. On the regular I'm 12-13.5%, depending on the day (I do it every morning and record it in Excel), but on the Athlete mode, I'm around 7-8%. Athlete mode is if you do 10+ hour of exercise work a week and a resting HR below 60, which both apply so perhaps I should start using that, but it seems a little low to me.

No idea really. My roommate just got a fancy scale that does it but I think it's worthless. I've used it 4-5 times in the past two weeks at the same time of day right before dinner as the instructions say. It has ranged from 17.8% to 21.9%. Even doing it twice in a row it will range as much at 1%. I don't care if it is correct, but when it isn't even consistent, what is the point.

Wow under 10% is amazing. I think I was about 6-7% (water displacement) but at that time I was working out/sports around 40-60 hours a week. I am probably in the 16-18% range now (usually in the 10-12% range but having a bad past year due to back problems) but don't know honestly. No spare tires yet but I'm working on it... Average is supposed to be around 20-24% I think. Much higher for women about 5-8% more is comparable. We love those curves.

I think those home scales use a calculation based on weight to height and are pretty inaccurate.

I'm sure mind is 20% ish. I'm not worried about cutting right now.

I took some sort of grip test thing at my gym, according to that my BF % is 24. That sucks.

The last time I got it measured, I did it two ways; with the calipers and with some weird electronic gizmo. The calipers said I was around 6.5%. According the calipers, I was "out of range," which means under 5% Right now I'm probably around 7-8%.

About 19%, down from 27-28% 4 months ago. Currently 208 pounds, working toward 10% @ 185 pounds.

Measured using what? Because unless you're a professional bodybuilder, you're not. Perhaps a pic?

this one i've posted on these forums before. it was back in HS, around 4-5% bf:

i have a more recent one, i'll upload it to my site

edit: aight, this pic was taken right before i donated all my hair (not too long ago). had been growing it out for about a year i'd say this is around 7%bf

oh, and to answer how it was measured: using these cool handheld bodyfat monitors that my school has. who knows how accurate they are, but i'm a pretty skinny, anorexic looking kid, and they've always measure me between 4>9. i still say i'm around 7>9 recently. last month (what i referred to in my post) was measured at 5.3%

Which is not accurate at all. You'd be surprised how much the number would change just having a large glass of water before measuring.

Finally got an estimate on my body fat %. I used two methods, there was 1.5% difference between the two (16.5 & 15).

15%! I was actually kind of disappointed (was shooting for 10%)... well this makes me only want to work harder! Beware fat, your end is near.
