kenshin was pretty good, i think tenchi was better though, 2 different kinds of anime however...

I guess I'm a geek then. At least I don't need to label others to make up for my "shortcomings."

Btw I've never read any ratings on initial d.. I just borrowed from a friend at first and liked it a lot. It's got the "SE" (sucky ending) syndrom though.

hmmm... that would mean i'm a pretty high level geek. me am proud otaku freak.

but just liking anime isn't too geeky, it's becoming somewhat more mainstream, there are plenty of subcultures of anime that are much geekier, otaku'ish, and obscure.

Cowboy bebop. I personally tink Trigun and Kenshin are overrated. kenshin is pretty good though.

My Favos are Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Panic! though.

Everyone's taste in movies, or even in anime is different. My favorite anime movies right now are probably Kenshin, and Akira just because of the rich animations and story telling.

Also, I enjoy most things by Gainax (FlCl has to be one of the most insane, unique looking anime's ever), but Evangelion is still Gainax's most famous and well done work.

You lose on Initial D. "I'm magic! I can make this stock car race faster than the newer, enhanced cars that are designed to race!" (People claim he's just that good, but he ends up going faster than the other cars on the road. I'm sorry, but no. Just... No.)

Tenchi Muyo! OAV, Tenchi Muyo! TV, Tenchi In Tokyo TV, the new Tenchi GXP, and the movies Tenchi Muyo: Tenchi in Love, Tenchi Muyo: Daughter of Darkness, Tenchi Forever: Tenchi in Love 2

If I had to pick one, it'd have to be FLCL (Furi Kuri).

There is NOTHING that is more fun to watch than that one. It's got an awesome sound track, more slapstick than a hockey game, wonton violence, and a story that does start to make sense when you finish it

Yeah, but others aren't making anime that little kids watch. I am amazed at how much had to be censored/changed in Dragonball to be able to show it in the U.S..
