What mobo to get ?

Am upgrading to a Athlon T/Bird 1.2 gig chip ( first time not a intel chip ) and my knowledge of the AMD chip and mobo scene is sweet FA. What I have is:
Hercules Prophet 3D Ultra video card
256 meg 133 SDRAM
32 gig ATA 66 hard drive
SB Live
2 Nics ( one for network and one for ADSL )
WinME

I was thinking about the Asus A7V and was also considering the A7V133. Will these mobo's work
with what I now have ? Will the A7V133 take advantage of my current 256meg 133 SDRAM ? Or is the A7V133 mobo one of those new mobos that need that new type of DDR Ram ?

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

The Asus A7V133 is a board that uses the KT133A chipset, meaning it has official support for 133Mhz FSB. Meaning you can now run your RAM and CPU at 133 MHZ (but you have to lower the cpu multiplier) which results in better performance. A7V133 is just the next step up from the A7V, I suggest you get an A7V133, it would suit you well.

Ok............looks like I will be going with this mobo but I see it only takes up to 1 gig t/bird. I would assume that with a bios flash it would take the 1.2 gig T/bird chip ?

I would get a KT133a MOB

Epox 8KTA3 or the plus version
Abit KT7 or KT7a
MSI turbo

I would get the A7V133. Supports up to 1.2gig.

I would defidently get a kt133a board. Right now I have an iwill kk266 on the way. I'll tell you if its any good.

Thanks to all who replied.......went to computer fair today and now
have the AV7 133

Oh well..........now to clean an area and start assembling everything
