w98, win311, dos6.2 machines don't get powered up very often.
Chose vista in the poll mainly since I'm typing in it now, and since I've bad mouthed it for so long, I thought I'd try something different. (The ui is still annoying in that it's different from xp in some places for no apparent good reason - I still hate that I can't use alt-enter in explorer to get the dir size.)
It does for me too when focus is in the right pane. But in the left (Folders) pane, where I usually am when navigating the drive/directory structure, explorer just beeps.Originally posted by: Shawn

Alt-Enter works for me. It opens up the properties dialog.
