Kahlua (however you spell it) + Club Soda + Vodka = Mind Eraser. Very aptly named drink.

Lemonade! I had some Blue Wave cranberry vodka with lemonade the other night, and it's now my new favorite drink. I drank so much I went insane.

Good vodka = Skyy and up, with Grey Goose topping it off.

Oh yes, my personal favorite vodka mixer is Red Bull. A can of that stuff and a couple shots or whatever amount you need to erase the taste/get a small kick is good...

Hmm interesting, never heard of Tito's, didn't know Texas made their own vodka too. I found an article on cocktail.com that rates Grey Goose over Tito's but they were still "impressed by the strong showing from some of the more obscure vodkas -- particularly Tito's, an American product that we've never seen an ad for." Heh.

I'm biased to Grey Goose myself until recently when I tried 3 Vodka. It's amazing stuff and a domestic too, made from soy beans, sooo smooth OMG.

As for vodka mixers, here's a complete list. It's the search results from webtender.com for vodka drinks with max 2 ingredients. I highly recommend OceanSpray's White Cranberry & Strawberry Juice . It mixes incredibly with a good smooth vodka.

:wine:

I've had that before but didn't know what it was called. Funny, on webtender.com they call it Blue Dog.

heh, lots of things go with vodka...I don't know how much of a drinker you are, but hopefully you know the tastes that you like. Different vodkas mix with different drinks...the easiest and cheapest of which would be a juice. You said you don't like cranberry? That's unfortunate, since cranberries mix with everything, due to the taste Maybe try an apple/cran mix? There's a name for every juice+vodka, so just test and find out for yourself...I find that non-caffeinated pops are good, since the caffeine seems to bring out the "bitter" a little too much. (Unlike a rum mixer, where they seem to complement much better).

I'm gonna stop talking, the alcoholic in me has been hiding for a week, and I'm trying not to indulge myself.

There's something fundamentally wrong about mixing vodka with Kool-Aid. It's a little like having escargot, endive salad and salmon mousse, then topping it off with gummi bears for dessert. That said, ANYTHING mixes with vodka. That's the whole purpose of vodka, something to have on hand so that you can have a drink even if all the mixers you've got in the house are pickle juice and guava nectar. Try the classic vodka and tonic, that's a great summer drink. To perk it up a little add a nice spritz of lime juice or a dash of lemon juice. Another good light summertime vodka drink is to mix it with flavored seltzer. Usually there will be a store brand seltzer or some national brand like Vintage that will come in lime, cherry, raspberry and orange or even some premium brands with funkier flavors like peach, plum or boysenberry. That kind of stuff goes great with vodka as it's got a very light fruit taste and the vodka doesn't overpower it.

Whoever named it that is stupid. It's a Greyhound, or with a salt rim, a Salty Dog.
