maybe i wasnt clear on these cards being agp so there is no agp gto2 only gto which is clocked just as high as the pci-e version. Seems the gto or the gs would be the way to go, and i just checked prices on the 6800nu which has seized in production, cheapest i found was $190 somethin most were over $200!

umm are you kidding me? It's about as fast as the 6800GT unlocked. I have one myself and it's about 50% faster unlocked.
I didn't know about the other cards unlocking either though. So the others may be better after unlock.

And what if it doesn't unlock?6800NU unlocked to 16pipes6vp
hit or miss . . . and it still ain't no 6800GT - even with everything unlocking and o/c'ed. . . NVIDIA?s GeForce 6800 can be easily modified from a 12-pixel pipeline/5 vertex unit mainstream card into a 16-pipe contender with just a few simple clicks of the mouse.
. . . all of our attempts to overclock three different GeForce 6800 vanilla cards were unsuccessful. We were able to easily unlock the pipes on all three cards, but with each of them we could never overclock the graphics core or memory, not even 5MHz. Whether we used RivaTuner to OC the boards or the NVIDIA control panel, each time we tested our settings the GeForce 6800 card would fail to pass the overclocking test. Even if we were able to hit the speeds we achieved in our EVGA e-GeForce 6800 review (400MHz core/810MHz memory), it still wouldn?t have been enough to catch up to say, a GeForce 6800 GT. The GeForce 6800, even with all 16 pixel pipes and 6 vertex pipes running, still gives up too much memory bandwidth to the GeForce 6800 GT to be a 6800 GT killer. The 6800 board?s 128MB frame buffer would also be a huge impediment to catching up to a GT.

6800gs agp(cut down, but there are some good versions, i think xfx is releasing a 450/1.0 version instead of the crap 350/1.0, unlockls but not guranteed, the 6800nu has about a 50/50 chance of unlocking, not too sure about the gs but it should be in that range, being the same hip and all)
X800pro vivo and non vivo(with some work a hardmod to x800xt can be done, 80% chance but reall a hassle, involves taking off the cooler, and using conductive pen on the core, something litk a 80% chance though)

it's pci-e only and it's $209 or $220 at newegg., for agp, go with the $200 x850xt deal.
