That beast was tasty. Next time, if there is a next time, I will scrape the peppercorn rub off. Searing it produced a smoke in the house that nearly choked us out. My plan was to fire up the grill to finish it but rain put the kibosh on that. The best laid plans of mice and men...

seared scallops with lemon beurre blanc
lobster bisque
garden salad

Got payed so it's Chinese. Beef and broccoli, steamed dumplings, and teriyaki chicken on a stick.

I love this place. You go in, order, watch the fires from hell rise up from the pans as they quickly throw your food together and in a matter of 5 minutes you are out of there. Fantastic little Chinese take-out restaurant.

Made what I call Taco Dip, but the recipe says Party Nachos. It's really a party type dish I guess, but I make it as dinner and it's really easy to make and super delicious! I leave out the avocados and sour cream. The trick to this stuff is to use a good tortilla chip. One that won't crumble when you scoop the dip. I use Mission tortilla rounds. Corn to be specific. I hold one chip in the left hand as the scoop and dish the dip to the chip in the right hand. LOL!

Tonight, marinaded chicken and baked pommes parisiennes.

Now(afternoon), i have brown bread toast with Beemster cheese and slices of Wahid turkey/cow salami and slices of fresh green paprika.

Tonight, i have a "WestFriese schijf " (It is meat with all kinds of herbs and tastes great). Added with that i have some lettuce/carrot/white cabbage mixture and pommes Parisiennes (little fried potatoes of 23 to 30 mm in size).

But just now i made my jummy toast :
Brown whole wheat bread, Beemster ripened old cheese, salami, slices of paris mushrooms and slices of green paprika.
And then heated in the toaster for a few minutes untill the bread is toasted and the cheese is a bit molten.
The salami slices on the right of the sandwich, i fold to prevent the molten cheese from dripping out.

WelshBloke, I'd want 3 to 4 times the quantity of onion rings. They look so good!

Tonight I'll have baked Schrod and coleslaw. Cantaloupe and yogurt for dessert.

From the meat case at Hy-vee, I picked up a few pounds of fajita chicken they make there at the store and vac seal it and freeze it in individual 4-5 oz portions. It's enough for two tacos. I then toss a couple shells on the cast iron skillet, sizzle them up, and with the cooked meat, I put some avacado and sour cream in with some fresh tomato and onion. sometimes I skip the sour cream and avocado due to the fat content. Anyway, its not too bad for me I don't think.
